Company History

Our success is based on a simple, founding principle: provide superior products and outstanding service.

From its inception, Cardinal has had a strong commitment to precision fabrication, coupled with an aggressive pursuit to engage the latest technology. Through three generations of family ownership and operation, we continually reinvest in our business to stay on the forefront in quality, service, design, and innovation.

Cardinal Systems, Inc. was founded in 1976 by Warren “Mickey” Bradley to produce galvanized steel walls for in-ground swimming pools. The operation began in a modest 5,000 square foot garage with only one shear, a press brake, and punch press.

Since then, our offices and manufacturing facilities have expanded to occupy over 300,000 square feet. Cardinal has grown to become the world’s largest and most technologically-advanced manufacturer of galvanized steel walls for in-ground swimming pools. However, our product lines and markets have greatly increased beyond steel for the pool industry.

In addition to steel fabrication, Cardinal Systems’ offerings encompass custom plastics (extrusion and thermoforming), polymer (pool walls and custom structural foam molding), and aluminum (liner track and coping). Through our custom products, we have a presence in numerous industries including construction, HVAC, lighting, recreation, lawn and garden, and waste management.

Over the last few years, Cardinal has acquired additional product lines to complement and expand its reach. The additions of Novelle Pools International and MPS (Modern Pool Systems) have made the company the largest single supplier of package pool panels, coping, and components produced in the United States. (All Cardinal Systems, Inc. products are manufactured in the U.S.A.) Quaker Plastics (formerly Quaker Plastic Corp.), the most recent acquisition, had built a strong reputation over its 30 years as a force in the pool industry and custom plastics market through its exclusive and innovative products. This acquisition enabled Cardinal Systems to further its leadership position in its core industry while expanding and strengthening in new areas.

Today, through its continuity of family leadership, Cardinal Systems, Inc. moves forward with a greater commitment to grow the business through innovation and establishing expertise in new fields.
